So after being kicked out of a band I loved and founded I didn't know what to do. With the the icy pangs of yet another brutally cold Chicago winter just a couple of months away, I looked at my wife and said 'Let's get the fuck outta Dodge.' We packed up and moved back to my home town, warm and sunny Los Angeles C-A. Without a band for a musical outlet I looked around for another way to get busy. An old friend of mine, Angel, told me he had always wanted to run an indie label. I agreed. Angel said, ' Well I know this gal who is on the same page as us. Why don't we all meet and talk?' Fast forward to Sunday at what used to be the Hollywood Hills Restaurant. Michelle walks in with her mahogany leather jacket and a notebook tucked under her arm, orders a salad before she gets to the table and Number 3 Records is born. A year later and and we are in it to win it. Our first release, Ladykillers' Welcome to Rock'N'Roll Kid is a critics fav with Meanstreet Mag calling it "the year's best punk record". With upcoming releases by Frausdots ( a really cool limited edition one-sided 7"), Brother Reade (gatefold 7" set + cdep!), Geisha Girls and more on the horizon, 2005 is shaping up to be the year of Number 3!!!!
